The last of the collection of four works is a monologue, and is rather a pastoral letter of farewell to the nation and church. Humility and conciliation predominate. The identity of this tract remained uncertain for a long period, and its connection to the Sorrowing as a whole was confirmed only in 1963 when Rudolf Říčan discovered a print which as a makeweight included the 1660 edition of the Sad Voice with its full title.
