Comenius’ dedication of his student disputation Problemata miscellanea (Assorted Problems, the Problemata) to fellow students at the Herborn Academy, the brothers Stanislav and Ondřej Jahodinský, Polish knights of Mateč, as well as to Daniel Bresler of Gdansk, his tutor and guide. Comenius lauds them as his friends and comrades. The dedication comprises five couplets (elegiac couplets).
